A travel-junky, explorer extraordinaire from a very young age, Sonja Gosteli has been rightly accused of living fearlessly. Today Sonja wields her pen to beyond the beaten trail in order to discover that other travel story. She is a member of International Travel Writers and Photographers Alliance (ITWPA), the Independent Publishers Association of Canada (IPAC), and is a keynote speaker for Street Strategies seminars, an organization designed to help participants put the media and movie based fear of our world into perspective so that they might embrace the joy of travel again - or for the first time.
It is extremely characteristic of Sonja to curiously ask herself "What is beyond that road or around that corner?". One of her fond recollections as a child was with her father as they were taking a steep, narrow stairway along the side of a cliff near Cannes, France where at the top they discovered an exquisitely preserved ruin overlooking the sea. Since that time, Sonja has visited many countries, traveled through even more towns and tributaries, been invited into family homes, and through these adventures, made new friends in the process.
